i know we tend to be enthousiastic about
most new music but tonight a band that stood
up head and shoulders above the rest-absynthe
minded from gent in belgium.

enthousiasm for cynicism in 1972 had a

not only is it a treat to see divia,but a double
treat to see another great band later on in the
evening called My vanity project.......



the night ends late in some latino salsa club.....
another story to save for another day.........

on our travels we bump into a fellow "happy snapper",andy who
publishes a small magazine called "the amsterdam stun" and website
www.amsterdamstun.com lots of photos of amsterdam barmaids...and their
customers.

gidionic's little sis is off to hospital today for some nasty knee surgury,
so love from us all and hope you make a speedy recovery.

and time to let our hair down to new music....
presenter jaap boots interviews a green lizard at the beginning of the evening.
not quite a john peel,but jaap is our man on the radio.
gidionics has seen it all and done most of it,but the bands green lizard and statistics
still get feet tapping.
big wuss gidionics leave for the last tram at midnight and unfortunately miss
potential highlight of the night ,just because they are ozzies and have an album
called "wait by the water and watch the bodies of your enamies float past" (,or
at least something very similar),The Drones...........
back at gidionics towers,the invisible floating castle suspended above Vondelpark,
gidionics listen to the live show and decide to splash out on mohameds illegal 10 euro
disco taxi the next time.........

out and about in town and a visit to 3voor12 to catch
a bit of live music.not really our style,but interesting
to see "nederhoppers" THC perform live.not too sure
what our warped political advisor (R) made of it but he
did his best not to complain too much about the youth
of today!

guy with a laptop going by the name of
knifehandchop. boomboomboomboomboomhardcore.
a big sound,but us oldies were convinced
that he pressed the play button and spent
the rest of his performance on an internet
chatroom.
a quick chat afterwards revealed a nice guy
-travelling the world with his laptop,performing
and getting paid for it.

sounds very agreeable.
bloody computers.
lucky bastard.......
